require a higher level of education in politics, finance etc.
Many presenters start off as researchers and production assistants to gain experience.
Personal Qualities
Depending on the type of show a well groomed appearance is important
however nowadays beauty is not such a prerequisite it is more a
question of having and interesting and appealing look that the viewing
public can identify with. A presenter should have a well controlled
and expressive voice and a confident, relaxed manner (on the surface
at least).
