A career in modelling in the
Middle East region can offer fantastic
opportunities to travel, meet diverse & international people and of course generate
a good income. To be a professional model you need a beautiful face, good
teeth, healthy hair, nice smile, and great legs. As important as looks are
sizes - a model has to fit the sample sizes perfectly. Standard measurements
for a female model are 5'9" and taller with 34" chest, 24" waist
and 34" hips. Even with the perfect stats, there are no guarantees of
work. Of course there is a large ammount
of work for every ethnic background.
Models must work hard to
look their best - a healthy diet, regular exercise and a general leaning away
from all night parties are all
essential. What you wear is also important. But looking great is only half
the job. Being professional is also a massive part of the job. This means
turning up on time, having a positive attitude and generally getting along with
everyone at the casting or on the shoot.
If you can do all
this, your chances of a good career will increase but remember that competition
for work even in the Middle East and standards today are higher than ever. But

highly competitive industry where, however good your look, success can only be
achieved with certain vital ingredients: dedication, a professional approach, a
good agent and a bit of luck. Having a

Male Models
You should be at least 6' tall with a
40" chest (but probably not much bigger than a 42", or clothes won't
hang right), not over a 32" waist, inseam probably about 34". Suit
size would be either a Regular or Tall coupled with your chest size. (If you
had a 40" chest, your suit size would be either 40R or 40T). Shoe size
should be between 9 and 12. Of course it
goes without saying that you should be good looking, fit and healthy – no one
wants to look at a minger. That’s not to
say you cant get work if you don’t have the stunning looks, try listing on the
acting pages. There is always someone in
the world trying to find you!
Child Modeling
Are people always
saying.."Wow, what a beautiful baby you have?" Babies are earning
millions acting & modeling in television commercials, print ads, television
shows and films. Child models are required as well but it doesn’t stop
there. Child models are always required
for commercial and print work and they don’t nessesarilly need to be beatiful. A
