Having been brought up in a home where music was the cradle, the blanket and the mother tongue, to Gayathri - home is music. Even when her mind wandered down the alleys of adolescence, where distractions were many, and her heart still remained loyal to her omnipresent friend.
GAYATHRI Based in Dubai Having been brought up in a home where music was the cradle, the blanket and the mother tongue, to Gayathri - home is music. Even when her mind wandered down the alleys of adolescence, where distractions were many, and her heart still remained loyal to her omnipresent friend. She left home to study English Literature at the age of 17 but that's when I truly found something that dictates the literature of her life. She discovered the beauty of the Blues, the comforting unpredictability of Jazz and the experimentation in alternative genres of Western music; yet there was a void. This was the moment of her homecoming for she explored the teaching ocean of Indian music, Carnatic and Hindustani Classical and fell hopelessly in love with something that always right in front of her. The songwriter inside Gayathri found her bliss and she has been writing, singing, performing and fulfilled since. Gayathri’s music combines the sensibilities and nuances of Indian music with alternative genres of Western Music. With a demo ready for the world, she is ready to tell tales with my music.
